Fallen - Lauren Wood

I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true
I can't believe how I have fallen for you
And I was not looking, was content to remain
And it's ironic, to be back in the game.

You are the one who's led me to the sun
How could I know that I was lost without you....

And I want to tell you, you control my rain
And you should know that you are life in my veins

You are the one who's led me to the sun
How could I know that I was lost without you....

I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true
I can't believe how I have fallen for you
And I was not looking, was content to remain
And it's erotic, to be back in the game.

Love the lyrics and the whole 'feel' the song exudes. I should make my own compilation of ideal background music for romanticcandlelitdinnerinswankyrestaurantsippingredwine type dates. Hehe. Let's see.... George Benson's version of "This Masquerade", Diana Krall on "A Blossom Fell" and "Fly Me To The Moon", Dionne Warwick's "Never Fall In Love Again", Sade's "Smooth Operator"..... though the lyrics to some of these songs aren't particularly appropriate. Lol.

Wow, the Diana Krall version of 'Fly me to the Moon' is really nice... that song really lends itself well to her voice and that jazzy, bossa-nova beat makes it much more lively's than Sinatra's stand up bass plucking. If you like 'I'll Never Fall in Love Again', try Elvis Costello's version - his is really upbeat and positive, and you really get the feel of the irony when he sings 'so for at least until tomorrow/i'll never fall in love again.' Other suggestions are Rod Stewart's Moonglow, and the Nat/Natalie duet version of 'Unforgettable'. If it's classical, then I vote for Chopin's Nocturne in Eb major. I'd suggest 'The Look of Love', but I suppose that really belongs AFTER dinner ;P

Nice Blog BTW

LOL. I suggest white wine instead of red wine (unless u r wearing a black dress, then it doesnt matter...) By the way, there's this song "What a difference a day makes" by Jamie Cullum. It's a pretty good song to listen to and chill out at a romantic setting.
