Good night

There's nothing in the world like the feeling of knowing one can deservingly go to sleep after a long day of work. It's the inviting warmth that lies between my sheets and my duvet, that final relieving shift of weight from feet to bed, my soft-toy dog Capuccino's perfectly-rounded black eyes beckoning at me, the curvature of my spine settling snugly into the contours that have formed on my bed over time, that somewhere-over-the-rainbow which begins right on my pillow.... *happy sigh* (= Though one may have to rise early again the next morning, though yet another work-packed day awaits; whatever burdens and whatever cares... when bedtime comes, the whole world is put right again.

Thank you, Lord, for my bed and my duvet and the roof above my head (even if it leaks rust water from Flat 2)!
