Ten days more till I go back to London. Emotions? Mixed. I don't know what to expect for my first couple of days back in London, the main reason being we haven't as yet found a house for next year... Yes, me dearies - the Knightsbridge apartment isn't for real LAH, for those of you who haven't already been un-deceived, lol.
I am so hooked onto Rockstar:INXS at the moment - I want Suzie or Mig to win!!! Loved both of Suzie's songs yesterday - Stone Temple Pilot's Interstate Love Song and 4 Non Blonde's What's Up. Also last week's Bohemian Rhapsody - that girl sure did rock! And not forgetting of course her heartfelt rendition of one of my MOST favourite songs ever - Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me. I strongly suspect it is because of that song that Suzie is my favourite of the four! Mig didn't exactly shine last night but oh who could forget his stellar performance a few weeks ago on Baby I Love Your Way? *swoon* JD - despite not being very fond at all of his attitude (problem) - which is such a put-off - I really love Pretty Vegas! Marty - I'm not a big fan of his. I think Trees is majorly over-rated and if you know me well enough you'll know that I tend do dislike over-rated stuff more than stuff that is acknowledged to be bad. Well at any rate these people are soooooo much better than most Idol contestants. Can't wait for the results show tonight!
This afternoon I got the ball rolling with my packing-up... gosh, it was quite a headache inducer - so much stuff and I just didn't know where to start. Got the room really messy at one point, but now I've mostly sorted out most of the 'big' items. Phew.
Will be in KL this weekend with my family - our very last family outing before I go back to London. Dad's booked us two rooms in Mutiara Crowne Plaza for a free stay from his club membership coupons.
Today I finally had the kebab that I've been craving for for ever so long.... oh, and also the very elusive yoghurt mousse slice! Chi Wei is truly my lucky charm, lol! What else, what else.... let's see. Ooooh I tried the Perting village Thai lady's tom yam - this time extra spicy and extra sour, thanks to Chi Wei's attempt to prove his macho-ness! Nearly died, I tell you. Eating really spicy food can be quite an energy-sapping feat, I've learnt. Lol. Well, now that I've struck everything off my To-Eat list, I can go back to London with a contented heart (and a full tummy as well)! (= *happy sigh*
By a stroke of bad luck yesterday, my mom was reminded that I need to go for my annual (hehe I know it's supposed to be half-yearly) dental appointment at Dr Ma's. *cringe* I thought she'd forgotten. Me no like dentists! No matter how gentlemanly or chatty they are!

nothing replaces the feeling of being home... no matter how much time you have spent in another place or how lovely that other place is...
although ironically, in the bigger sense of things, earth is our temporary dwelling here as Christians... and heaven is our real home... i guess that may be the reason why we never quite feel 'settled and content' where we are...
Take care flying back May...looks like we didnt get to catch up in person this time, but who knows, maybe next time if God still keeps me here in KL when you return :)
