Jamie Cullum on a good pair of earphones, on a lazy weekday afternoon. Twentysomething. Pointless Nostalgic (thanks a bunch, Tracy!!). Wistful, sometimes cheeky lyrics. Listening out for the many layers of instrumentation. Piano. Bass. Trombones. Percussions. Each carries its own weight, its own unique, individual part in the melody - and together form a blissful harmony of sounds that is called jazz music. Mmmmmm.....

70's and 80's classics on Light&Easy - the likes of David Gates, Diana Ross, the Stylistics, Dionne Warwick, Hall & Oates - while curled up cozily on my favourite cushion in the family area. A good book in hand, warm orange lights (I know its bad for reading) lending to the ambience.

Aerosmith when I feel scream-y. Crazy, Hole In My Soul, Fly Away From Here, Pink... classic rock, if you ask me.

A good dose of Eva Cassidy when I'm feeling mellow. Minimal instrumentation, so that her crooning pierces right through your heart.

Soulful, sensual Marvin Gaye. Anytime, anyday. (omigosh, that rhymed. Seriously, it was unintended!) But especially on a hot date! Sexual Healing, Let's Get It On, I Want You, Funk Me, Dance With Me, Groovin' - it's getting hot in here indeed...

Vandross. Why did he have to die? )=
