Life, actually

Contrary to what most of you would think, the frequent barrage of thoughts and ramblings on this blog of mine of late is not indicative of too much free time. Instead, it means that I have been spending a lot of time in front of my computer (albeit at my desk) attempting to study. These attempts, needless to say, do not amount to much, taking into consideration the amount of time spent. Or I would not be writing as many as 4 blog posts in one day.

This is my life, now. Half of the time spent at my desk doing goodness-knows-what.... activities oscillate between studying, trying to study, and not studying at all. My life is so S.A.D.!

Picture this: I am reading my Biochemistry notes (for once, I am actually glad that I studied Biology at least up til AS level) and I'm thinking to myself, how interesting it would be to name my daughters after amino acids. Serine. Thymine. Valine. (And this, in turn, brings to my mind my dear friend Justine, who once wanted to name her daughter Velocity....). I can't concentrate!!!!

Ack, I need a break, whether I deserve it or not. I am going to Sainsbury's now to buy some beef for lunch.

Velocity???? Are u kiddin' me?? But then again it does sound familiar.. I seem to remember being ultra-sarcastic in suggesting other names like Hypothenuse, Complex-Conjugate and of course, who could forget, Root-Mean-Squared-Speed

Hohohohho...I WAS wondering about the sudden influx of posts! Totally opposite of me!

As for names, hmmm...can't remember what I thought of naming my lil' ones in my more frustrating moments with Science but today I'm reading microbio and came across an interesting bacteria...the Rickettsia. Whacha think? It causes Rocky Mountain spotted fever, not kidding.

Alan, today I learnt one thing: Hypothanuse is spelt with an 'e' behind. You have enlightened someone today, may your Com Eng LEDs never dim =P
