Banda Aceh in Indonesia, located near the tremor's epicentre, is still flooded.

The waves are caught on camera as they approach the north coast of Penang, Malaysia.
How do you respond, react to something like this? Do you thank God that your friends and family who were nearby the affected areas are safe, that the people you know live far away enough from the coastal areas in Penang?
Thank God that your friend and her whole family visited Tanjung Bungah two days before the fateful day and not on the day itself?
Should there rightly be any reason to be thankful at all, when 29,000 fathers, mothers, children, wives, husbands, siblings and friends from all over the Asia have perished without so much as a warning or inkling of what was about to happen? It could have been any one of my friends and/or family, but for some divine reason, they escaped it.
Have I any right to utter the words "Thank God"? Thank Him who is almightyallknowingsupremeloving
Never have I so badly wanted to demand of Him - "Why?"
