Chwis' request granted...

Yesterday, for the first time in my one-and-a-half months here in London, I took an afternoon nap.

*dramatic silence*

Yep, moi, the notorious sleepy-head of 10-hours-a-day reputation (even back during A-Levels) now sleeps no earlier than 12 midnight and wakes up no later than 7:30 am with ZERO HOURS CATNAPS IN BETWEEN. Hehe. I'm so impressed at myself, actually. It's quite an achievement, I must say. But man, did I enjoy my 2-hour nap yesterday..... pure shiok. Mm-hmm.

That said, I insist that I am still sleep-deprived. Had quite a rough week last week, no thanks to my Design project (which I made mention of in one of my previous posts). It's not just work and studies that I've been busy with - even social activities take up a fair bit of my time. Last weekend I was at our annual Christian Union camp 'Houseparty' at Orpington, which was really really fun. But it also served to make me even more sleep-deprived than I already was. Met lots of cool people there and the food and games and fellowship were great. 10 quid well-spent. *checks*

I've been thinking... being a Christian is a very time-consuming thing, actually. On Monday evenings I have cell group and on Thursday there's the Hub.... Sunday is church day. That's not even counting in everyday when I'm SUPPOSED to do my quiet time. Well, I ain't complaining, just telling it as it is. I can only ask that God will give me strength and endurance so that my life will be a good testimony of how being a Christian won't interfere with my studies... and that in fact, that I can still juggle all that shebang and come out victorious. Sadly, at the moment, that isn't quite the situation. :-(

Oh yes. Today I was walking home from uni on my own coz the others had Maple classes... and on the way, two people stopped me to ask for directions! Lol. And it's only my 2nd month here! The first one asked me for directions to V&A Museum, which wasn't too hard since they were already standing outside the National Science and History Museum! And the second person asked me where Cromwell Road was. Which I didn't know.

Ooooh yes... yesterday I didn't spend money on any of my meals coz both lunch and dinner were belanja-ed! Yay! Thanks Guan and Alvin YES! :-) But at night after my so-called 'study group' with Jin Rong and Tzyy Jian, I ended up spending 1.60 to satisfy certain caffeine-cravings.... I was really pining for Starbucks' caffe latte, but they close sooooo ridiculously early here, we had to settle for House of Coffees. Turned out to be really fun, just chilling out and chatting about our childhood days, how naughty (or angelic, in my case) we were, our family, siblings, vacations etc.... I still can't get over Tzyy Jian's pouring mee goreng over his friend's head!!

What else, what else.... Oh yeah.. Liwan's 'surprise' birthday party! We had it at Beit Hall, almost 20 of us crammed into Jun's kitchen. A couple of the guys got really drunk, enough said. But it was fun. :-)

Couldn't resist putting up this vewy kewt photo of Winston at the birthday party.... Incy Wincy Spiderman!

NEWSFLASH! In two weeks time, my parents will be in London!!!! Hurrrahh!!!
